Unique Opportunity for Trainee Accountants (ACA or ACCA)

  • HLB Cyprus is an authorised training office for trainee accountants (ACA/ACCA)
  • All training expenses of our ACA/ACCA trainees are sponsored by our Firm and include tuition costs, study material, examination entry fees and study leave, and subscription to both local and international accounting associations
  • Trainees are free to choose the academic institution they prefer to attend classes for ACA/ACCA modules
  • The Members of the Board responsible for training, supervise the progress of our trainees and provide guidance and support throughout the training program
  • Trainees are offered a 5-year contract in the Audit and Assurance department of our Nicosia office, which includes a 3-year ACA/ACCA training scheme. They have a unique opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment and deal with large and medium sized local and multinational client organisations from many sectors of the economy.

Entry Requirements

  • University degree in any discipline from a reputable University
  • Minimum grade of University degree:
  • UK Universities:
    • Upper Second Class (2:1) (Note)
    • US Universities and local private Universities: 3,33/4
    • University of Cyprus and Greek Universities: 7,5/10
  • Excellent communication and team work skills
  • Ability to learn fast and apply focused approach
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to undertake initiative
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Fluency in English and Greek


A high Lower Second Class (2:2) might, in exceptional circumstances, be considered, depending on the ranking of the University in the specific subject/discipline or whether the applicant possesses a postgraduate degree.


Applications for Trainee ACA/ACCA are open from 1 June to 31 January each year.
